        This policy is prepared in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023, the Information Technology Act 2000, and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules 2011.
      

1. Who We Are

Fundeable Technologies Private Limited ("Fundeable", "we", "us") is an India-incorporated company operating the platform at fundeable.in. We are the Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act 2023 in respect of personal data processed through this platform.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data when you register or apply on our platform:

Identity data: Name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile URL
Sensitive personal data: Gender (optional — collected solely for diversity reporting; see Section 3)
Business data: Company name, founding year, sector, funding stage, monthly revenue, pre-money valuation, capital raise target
Documents: Pitch decks uploaded by startup founders (PDF, PPT, DOC formats)
Usage data: Pages visited, form interactions, browser type, device type (via essential cookies and analytics, subject to your consent)
Communication data: Any messages or queries sent to us

We do not collect government identification numbers, Aadhaar, PAN, or financial account details.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data only for specific, lawful purposes with your explicit consent obtained at the point of collection:

Application review: Evaluating your startup, investor, advisor, or partner application
Matching services: Connecting startups with investors, advisors, and partners based on your profile data
Platform services: Operating your account and delivering the features you have subscribed to
Diversity reporting: Gender data (where provided) is used solely for aggregate, anonymised diversity statistics and is never shared individually with third parties
Communications: Sending you application status updates, match notifications, and platform announcements
Legal compliance: Meeting obligations under applicable Indian laws

We do not use your data for automated individual decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects without human review.

4. Pitch Deck and Document Storage

Pitch decks uploaded by founders are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage with servers in the India region. Access is restricted to:

Fundeable's internal team for application review
Investors you are specifically matched with and who have agreed to confidentiality obligations

Pitch decks are not publicly accessible. They are served only through authenticated, time-limited URLs. Documents are retained for the duration of your active account and for up to 12 months after account closure, after which they are permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 8).

5. Sharing Your Data

We share your data only in the following circumstances:

Matched counterparties: Startup profiles (excluding sensitive financial data) are shared with investors who match your criteria and have agreed to our platform terms
Service providers: We use Cloudflare (infrastructure), and may use analytics tools — all subject to data processing agreements. We do not sell your data to any third party
Legal obligations: Where required by a court order or applicable law

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any party not directly necessary to deliver our platform services.

6. Data Retention

Active account data: retained for the duration of your account
Closed account data: retained for 12 months after closure (for dispute resolution and legal compliance), then permanently deleted
Pitch decks: deleted within 30 days of account closure upon request
Analytics data: retained in aggregated, anonymised form only

7. Cookies

We use cookies as follows:

Essential cookies: Required for the platform to function (form state, session). These are placed without consent as they are necessary for service delivery.
Analytics cookies: Used to understand how users interact with the platform. Placed only with your explicit consent via the cookie banner.

You can withdraw analytics cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies and declining again on the next visit.

8. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act 2023

As a Data Principal, you have the following rights under the DPDP Act 2023:

Right to information: Know what data we hold about you
Right to correction: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
Right to grievance redressal: Lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer
Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw your consent at any time (this will not affect processing already done)
Right to nominate: Nominate another person to exercise rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@fundeable.in. We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and respond within 30 days.

9. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the DPDP Act 2023 and IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules 2021, we have designated a Grievance Officer:

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once established under the DPDP Act 2023.

10. Data Security

We implement the following security measures in accordance with the IT (Reasonable Security Practices) Rules 2011:

All data transmitted to and from our platform is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher
Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256
Access to production systems is restricted by Cloudflare Access with multi-factor authentication
Pitch deck files are not publicly listed and are accessible only through authenticated endpoints

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
